There are three universal reasons dentists don't get trained in moderate sedation: time, expense and risk. Dr. Kevin Croft (board-certified by the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and international lecturer) has solved each and every one of these issues.
“It’s a ‘by dentists, for dentists’ approach, six years in the making,” says Dr. Croft. “We built courses to teach and certify not only dentists but also their entire offices how to provide minimal and moderate sedation in a way that minimizes risks, reduces stress, expands the ability to treat, and establishes a deeper degree of informed consent. We focus on a team approach by offering in-office certification courses for assistants, hygienists and doctors. We truly want offices to be able to provide sedation while avoiding the pitfalls of complicated and cumbersome techniques. Dentist Certification Courses
By partnering with Caring International Nonprofit we can offer dentist certification courses for under $12,000 in tuition to members of the CI Coalition. Our courses include 60 AGD-CE didactic credit hours followed by a clinical section treating 20 or more patients, are limited to 6 doctor participants at a time, and have a maximum faculty/participant ratio of 3-1. Participants are not only taught modern sedation techniques, but they get direct, in-person instruction on everything from patient selection, to marketing sedation, to treatment planning, to insurance billing (medical and dental), to how to individually cater sedations for each and every patient.
Assistant and Hygienist Certification Coruses
Thanks to scholarships from Caring International Nonprofit and our partnership with DDSleep we have developed a new approach for dental staff member sedation certification training courses. We utilize a mixture of online, hands-on, live didactic and clinical training to provide progressive levels of certification for auxiliary staff. Plus, for staff at Caring International Coalition Offices, the training is FREE.
Now that doctors and their staff can be trained for tuitions under $12,000 in their own offices or in courses that require minimal time away, certification has never been so affordable or achievable.

Dr. Croft has spent his career guiding today's dentistry into tomorrow. During dental school he was awarded the Dr. Kilimitzoglou Pioneer in Dentistry Award and was inducted as a member of the the ADA's International Association of Student Clinicians. He completed a CODA-accredited dental anesthesiology residency at Stony Brook in 2012 and gained full diplomat status with the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology the following year. He was granted an assistant professorship at the University of Utah in 2014 and in 2015 he became the youngest faculty member and head dentist anesthesiologist at both the Dental Institute of the Caribbean & the International Medical College of Post-Graduate Education. He now spends his professional time doing philanthropic work, teaching CE courses and running a private practice providing the full range of sedation and anesthesia services to patients of all medical backgrounds.
Dr. Croft regularly lectures around the U.S. and internationally and has published in various journals on topics such as pain & anxiety management, philanthropic dentistry, sedation & general anesthesia, advanced techniques in local anesthesia, medical emergencies, and recent innovations in dentistry.
Dr. Croft has four children, and is very much in love with his wife, Michelle. When he can find a moment he is usually off hiking trails in the rocky mountains, playing with his family, tending to his garden or playing the guitar.
